Asili ni Tamu
&
Tamu African Night

ASILI NI TAMU was supposed to take place in March of 2020. After a successful festival in 2019, we decided to make the 2020 edition even bigger with more performances. Unfortunately we had to cancel the festival due to Covid-19.

Tamu African Night

Asili ni Tamu is now postponed until next year June. In the meantime we will organize Tamu African Night to keep the vibe alive. These are smaller events that connect traditional and modern Tanzanian music and dance.

Asili ni Tamu will celebrate only traditional culture with performances from groups from all over the country, workshops that focus on traditional arts and with lots of delicious tradtional food! Highlights and program will follow in due time.

Inspire

Traditional dance might seem old fashioned to most people. But we as Shine Africa believe that traditional dance is the mother of all dance. Our wish is to inspire many to embrace our traditions and to support the continuation of the special form of art.
